"Right now it is nearly impossible to remove any digital trace. First, anyway we remain in the state databases, like tax service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the police, and so on. As for social networks the Internet remembers everything, even if you have removed the whole page. Somewhere in search systems’ cache the information retained; it will be removed only in a couple of years.  The social networks by themselves do not delete any information, just make it invisible for others. If you are looking for something in Google or Yandex search system, you can look through the saved pages is what happened at some point. There exists a web archive where the pages’ copies are stored. Some of the pages that have been deleted and changed can still be viewed in their original state.

The digital trace can be left premeditatedly, or accidentally and unconsciously. When you visit a site, the search system will remember the information about the fact. Special browsers could be used that prohibit the tracking or configure your browser leaving the minimum number of traces. Here a question arises whether it has any sense at all – this information is not one that could be grasped by other people. This is what will allow for rendering a service you are interested in”
