St. Petersburg Federal Research Center
of the Russian Academy of Sciences

Dear friends!

From the bottom of my heart I congratulate you on the Day of Russian Science!

Please accept my sincere gratitude for your daily willingness to walk on unexplored paths, helping at that million and million people to better understand the world and the universe around us, expanding the horizons of research and opening the way to new knowledge.

Each invention, each new technology is underlined with a scientific valiance and research passion of a particular person. Ambitions and intelligence!

Science is a matter of independent creative people. People of the world, infinitely dedicated to their favorite cause.

Separately, I want to greet the coryphaei of the science branch. Because of you, we managed to successfully overcome a critical period in the development of the domestic scientific and technological sector, and today we can speak about the preserved succession of Russian science.

Doing science today is prestigious again: more and more young people, who have decided to bind their lives to research and development, come to laboratories

Our country is rightfully one of the world's leading scientific powers. We are adherents of open international scientific and technical cooperation.

Lately, in 2020, the Russian scientific school has successfully lived through unprecedented turmoil: the humanity faced the coronavirus pandemic, and the Russian scientists created the world's first vaccine against a new infection.

Thanks to the vaccine, millions of people would be able to return to the regular pace of life.

Today in honor of the professional holiday and the joy of returning to the traditional format of work and study, young scientists, professors and students are launching a flash mob "Back to Science!"

I am convinced that the Year of Science and Technology will help to unite efforts of scientists, society and the state for a large-scale technological breakthrough and attract even more young talented specialists to science.

I wish everyone, devoted to science or simply interested in it, vital energy, health and inspiration for new significant accomplishments!
