SPC RAS joined the V Intermuseum-University Festival "Into the museum – today, into the science – tomorrow!" traditionally hold in the time span of the school spring holidays, and this year from March 26 - April 3.
On March 30, within the Festival framework, researchers of the SPC RAS Laboratory of Autonomous Robotic Systems delivered the lectures’ course on UAVs for young attendees of the festival. During the event, the students had a good opportunity to hear about the development, application and purpose of drones in the modern world, to ask any questions about the problems being of interest, as well as to get personally acquainted with the line of unmanned aerial vehicles developed at the Laboratory.
Along with the multirotor type UAVs used in agriculture, cargo transportation, analysis of infrastructure facilities, the unmanned aerial vehicle of an airplane type with a lifting capacity up to 4 kg and a flight time up to 2.5 hours, the staff also demonstrated the students’ development – the smallest drone from the line, weighing only 30 g.
The Intermuseum-University festival "Into the museum – today, into the science – tomorrow!" unites museums of various departmental subordination, like small museums of the universities’ departments and laboratories, and museums of St. Petersburg scientific organizations.
