Research team of the laboratory of autonomous robotic systems presented various modifications for a ground-based robotic platform, like GD-4 UAV designed to solve problems in the agricultural sector of the economy, a set of specialized sensor bracelets, and also a drone for playing football.
One of the most spectacular master classes was a demonstration of the work of touch bracelets. These devices are designed to intuitively control robots of various types using hand movements. Att the exhibition a ground-based robotic platform with the FPV helmet and a football drone were used as examples of end devices.
– Unmanned football may become incredibly popular in the near future, since it exposes participants to their first experience in aviation, motivating them to develop in specific technical areas, – notes Artem Ryabinov, programmer of SPC RAS, “Drone-Ball” project supervisor.
The presented modifications of the ground-based robotic platform also caused a great interest of the participants and organizers of the scientific event: first-person control of the robot using an augmented reality helmet, the use of the full range of low-level equipment functions to create their own control programs, modification based on Raspberry pi and cloud learning platform. The cloud platform allows the user to remotely interact with the robot, as well as to learn programming in Python, and also to gain basic knowledge about interacting with devices of this type in an interactive format. The developed software "Educational cloud environment for programming ground–based robotic platforms" is registered with the Federal Service for Intellectual Property - certificate for registration of the computer program No. 2022680118 dated 10/27/2022.
