From October 11 - 13, Vladislav Donchenko, Chief Researcher, and Alyona Kodolova, Acting Deputy Director for Research of SRCES RAS – SPC RAS, took part in the meetings of the Expert Council on Ecology and Environmental Management at IPA CIS, the Standing Commission of the IPA CIS on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, as well as the International Forum "Sustainable Development of Mountain Territories".
In particular, at the meeting of the Standing Committee of the IPA CIS on Agrarian Policy, Natural Resources and Ecology, Alyona Kodolova presented the first version of the draft model law “On Ecological Monitoring".
“The draft law is intended for improving the state regulation of relations in ecological monitoring, modernizing the network of hydro-meteorological observations, developing a methodological base for ecological monitoring that meets modern criteria, obtaining reliable information about the state of the environment,” explains Alyona Kodolova.
Development of the draft law has been implemented as a part of the second stage of work under the contract (No. 147-d dated 05/15/2023), earlier concluded between SPC RAS and the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council.
