Starting November 2023, the large international event RUSSIA EXPO is held in Moscow at the VDNH premises and presents the main scientific and technological accomplishments of the country. During his visit to the event, Andrey Ronzhin, Director of the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about current trends in cyber and digital security, robotics, artificial intelligence, as well as about key scientific projects of SPC RAS in the above areas.

St. Petersburg leading daily business newspaper “Delovoy Petersburg” (St. Petersburg Business) served as a platform for the discussion. The journalists proposed the experts to discuss the artificial intelligence (AI) future in Russia, particularly, how technologies of the kind will change the country and business, what professionals will be highly demanded by the market and what spheres of activity will be mostly subjected to AI influence.

Scientists of the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of RAS (SPC RAS) have developed an application intended to assist companies and recruitment specialists (HR) in improving the quality of interviewing the sales managers based on video interviews’ analysis. The application allows for recording a video interview, while the recording topics to be covered by an applicant are displayed on a screen, then the video is processed by a pre-trained neural network, and metrics are calculated that specify the applicant's ability to sell.

Unmanned aerial vehicle developed at SPC RAS aimed at processing agricultural lands in order to suppress weeds has successfully passed field tests in the Novgorod Region. Two TV channels of the Novgorod Region took part in filming.

Researchers of SPC RAS have developed a domestic digital system for managing the agro-industrial facilities. The development operates on domestic software, it can be individually configured for efficient and automated production of various types of agricultural products and controlled remotely via the Internet from personal computer or smartphone.

Alexander N. Motienko, an employee of SPC RAS, who took part in the rescue operation in Turkey, as a part of the “Extremum” volunteers’ team, returned to St. Petersburg St. Petersburg search and rescue volunteers’ team "Extremum" consisting of 30 people has completed emergency rescue operations and elimination of consequences in the earthquake zone in Turkey..

Dr. Elena Fedorchenko, Senior Researcher of the Laboratory of Computer Security Problems at SPC RAS, attended the II Conclave of Young Scientists from the member countriesof the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and delivered there a presentation that covered some research results concerning: "Intelligent Methods for Security Assessment and Response to Cyber Security Incidents in Critical Infrastructures".
