The Meeting of Scientific Council was opened by a speech of the Scientific Council Chairman Professor of RAS Andrey L. Ronzhin, who delivered a presentation on the Center research and organizational activity and the forthcoming work concerning the most actual tasks.

Two important issues for the Center activities were solved: 1) a collective agreement between SPC RAS and its staff members was accepted; 2) SPC RAS Scientific Council was elected.

Doctor of Tech. Sci., Professor, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Head of Information Technologies in System Analysis and Modeling Lab., SRC RAS Chief Researcher Boris V. Sokolov participated in a discussion on urgency of developing the State Information System “Objects of St. Petersburg Urban Environment” (SIS OUE) on the basis of "Certification of Site Improvement Objects " portal.

On September 22, 2020 Chief Researcher, Academician of RAS A. I. Kostyaev, Chief Researcher, Corresponding Member of RAS G. N. Nikonov and Researcher E. S. Vouba took part in the scientific conference dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the Imperial Moscow Society of Agriculture "Historical Heritage of Moscow Society of Agriculture and modernization of the agrarian sector of Russia”.

The visit was focused on a joint discussion considering problems of informatization, automation, robotization and economic peculiarities of diary production.

Staff member of North-West Centre of Interdisciplinary Researches of Problems of Food Maintenance (separate structural division of SRC RAS) Doctor of Biological Sci., Pofessor, Winner of the USSR Council of Ministers Award in Science and Technology Arkhipov Michael V. was rewarded with a gratitude for his activities at the election campaign as a part in “Staff of Public Support of A. Yu. Drozdenko as a candidate for a position of the Leningrad Region Governor”.

Сongratulations to Dr. Nikolay N. Teslya, SPC RAS Senior Researcher, on his successful completion of the contest for the right to participate in the program "Leaders in scientific and technological breakthrough".

The researchers of the institutes and administration of SPC RAS actively participated in the events of the XXIX International Agricultural Exhibition-Fair "Agro-Rus -2020" held in St. Petersburg form September 2-4, 2020. For active participation SPC RAS and its constituent institutions were awarded diplomas of The Russian Federation Ministry of Agriculture.

On September 10, 2020 within the walls of  SPC RAS was held a solemn celebration of the 200th anniversary from the day of birth of the founder and first Director of the educational institution - Karl Ivanovich May. SPC RAS Director Professor of  RAS Andrey L. Ronzhin congratulated in person and extended his sincere gratitude to Nikita V. Blagovo (1949 alumnus) - founder and Director of Karl May School History Museum.

On September 10, 2020 at 11:00 will be held the first General Meeting (Conference) of St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences staff members.

Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Alexander Yuzhakov, staff-member of North-West Centre of Interdisciplinary Researches of Problems of Food Maintenance, structural division of SPC RAS, gave an interview to the TV and Radio Company: "Yamal – Region" on the campaign of slaughtering the reindeers in Yamal.

SPC RAS has patented its unique methodology for vehicles sharing providing an automatic online search of drivers and pedestrians with similar routes, accounting, at that, for their interests.

On August 28, 2020 a meeting led by the Novgorod Region Minister of Agriculture Ms.  Elena Pokrovskaya was held between the SPC RAS Director Prof. Andrey Ronzhin and the leaders of Novgorod research and educational institutions. The Novgorod Region Minister of Agriculture Ms.  Elena V. Pokrovskaya supported the SPC RAS initiative on establishing an Innovative and Technological Center at Novgorod Research Agriculture Institute.

Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Dr. Valery Falkov extended his congratulations to students, teachers and employees of the Russian universities on the academic year beginning.
