On May 22, 2022, the VI All-Russian semi- marathon "ZaBeg" was organized by the League of Heroes Team. "ZaBeg" unites generations of people in different cities of our country and promotes sports. The simultaneous semi - marathon was planned for 85 Russian cities spread over eleven time zones; a single start was launched for several thousand sport fans regardless of time zones — this is a Guinness World record set in 2020. The participants covered distances of one km, ten km and twenty one km.
A series of thematic interdisciplinary workshops has been launched at the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS), where professionals from various departments will be given an opportunity to deliver presentations in regard to developments prospective for introduction to various sectors of economy. The first two sessions dealt with the projects on eco-friendly technologies aimed at cleaning urban reservoirs from toxic microorganisms, as well as on the application of sapropel (deposits of plant and animal remains that accumulate at the lakes’ bottoms) in agriculture.
St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS) acted as a platform for the international round table "The Memory Culture" that commemorated the Day of Complete Liberation of Leningrad from the Nazi blockade. The event was organized by the international public organization «The Victory Immortal Regiment», the meeting was held in online - format, and its participants represented eight countries of the world.
