Sergey Kholodkevich, Chief Researcher of the Laboratory of Bioelectronic Methods of Geoecological Monitoring at the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS), made two presentations at Wenzhou University of China. His communications, in particular, considered methods cleaning the toxic cyanobacteria out of reservoirs.

The document is aimed at introducing drones into the agro-industrial complex of the region to perform a wide range of tasks.

From February 12 - 14, 2024 the annual tournament of pre-university educational organizations of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "Engineers of the Future" was held in St. Petersburg on the basis of the Military Academy of Communications named after S.M. By the Order of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation dated February 19, 2024 No. 10-248 p-o Ronzhin Andrey Leonidovich is confirmed a Director of the Federal State Institution of Science "St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences" (SPC RAS).

Within the scientific event, over 200 participants from Russia and Belarus discussed the past and present of limnology, a science studying the lakes and other freshwater reservoirs.

Starting November 2023, the large international event RUSSIA EXPO is held in Moscow at the VDNH premises and presents the main scientific and technological accomplishments of the country. During his visit to the event, Andrey Ronzhin, Director of the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, spoke about current trends in cyber and digital security, robotics, artificial intelligence, as well as about key scientific projects of SPC RAS in the above areas.

Researchers of the St. Petersburg Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences (SPC RAS) ran master classes for students and schoolchildren on programming ground robots intended to perform various tasks at the RUSSIA EXPO.

Research expedition within the Federal Scientific and Educational Program “Floating University”, that engaged the geo-ecologist of SPC RAS, investigated the anthropogenic load on the coastal waters of the South-Eastern part of Kamchatka by assessing the population of bacteria that characterize water pollution. The maximum indices of pollutants were recorded in the Avacha Bay, where the port city of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsy located. The received research results can be used at assessing the environmental situation of the coastal zone.
